Vermont Victory Club - Join Vermont's Team
The Victory Club is an all-encompassing group that provides financial and community support for the University of Vermont Department of Athletics.
The Victory Club provides support for athletic scholarships, operating enhancements and special projects as the UVM Athletic Department moves forward with its strategic plan. The plan seeks to maintain UVM's enviable record of academic excellence among student-athletes while aggressively pursuing a high level of success in athletics.
Membership into the Victory Club begins with a gift of $100. Victory Club members are entitled to a series of benefits, including access to hospitality areas, priority and premium seating access, VIP parking, postseason ticket priority, and special gifts.
"The goal of the strategic plan for the athletic department is to create a culture of excellence, both in the classroom and on the field, that is conducive to student-athletes having an exceptional experience at the University of Vermont," said Dr. Robert Corran, Associate Vice President and Director of Athletics at the University of Vermont. "We have set higher expectations for academic and athletic success for all varsity sports and we must be able to provide a level of support which is consistent with our goals."
Since 2004, donations from Victory Club members have helped increase the department's financial aid from 82 scholarships totaling $2.4 million, distributed throughout eight sports, to 148 scholarships which amounts to $6.4 million distributed across 18 sports.
Victory Club members have also helped UVM improve the quality of the athletic facilities the student-athletes use on a daily basis. Through annual gifts to the Victory Club and other donatinos to capital projects Vermont has opened an 11,000 square foot strength and conditioning center, renovated an academic support center, renovated locker rooms and built Moulton Winder Field, a state-of-the-art articifical turf facility, which is the home of the field hockey and men's and women's lacrosse teams.
In August of 2010, the department broke ground on a new outdoor track and field facility.
