SENIOR SEASON (2026): Bakken competed in five of six EISA Carnivals and was named to the Vermont roster that competed in the 2026 NCAA Championships ... Bakken secured five podium finishes, with career best first place finishes in the 7.5k classic interval at the Dartmouth Carnival and the 10k freestyle interval at the Williams Carnival, his first and second career outright EISA victories ... Bakken competed in the 2026 NCAA Championships, placing 21st in the 7.5k classic and 33rd in the 20k freestyle mass start ... He was named to the EISA All-East First Team after his performances throughout the 2026 season ... During the EISA circuit, in the 10 races he competed in, Bakken finished outside the top 15 only one time ... In the final eight races of the EISA season, Bakken finished in the top six in seven of those eight races including five podiums and two top six finishes ... Bakken secured back-to-back podium placements twice during the 2026 campaign, first at the Dartmouth Carnival, winning the 7.5k CL and placing second in the 15k Freestyle mass start, and second at the Williams Carnival where he won the 10k Freestyle outright and finished third in the 3x5 Classic relay ... Bakken's first podium finish of the season came at the Colby Carnival where he skied to third place in the 20k Freestyle mass start. 

JUNIOR SEASON (2025): Bakken competed in three of the six EISA Carnivals this season, securing four different top 15 finishes. He notched a season best third place finish during the 7.5k Classic Interval Start at the St. Lawrence Carnival, netting his lone podium appearance on the season. Bakken also placed fourth at the St. Lawrence Carnival during the 20k Freestyle Mass Start. During the Bates Carnival, Bakken placed 14th in the Freestyle Sprints and ninth in the 9.1k Freestyle Individual Start. Bakken finished 17th overall during the NCAA Championships racing in the 7.5k Classic Individual Start. 

SOPHOMORE SEASON (2024): Bakken participated in one EISA Carnival his Sophomore season, skiing in the Harvard Carnival. 

FIRST YEAR SEASON (2023): Petter competed in all six carnivals during his freshman campaign … He achieved three individual top 10 performances, with his career best of 3rd place coming in the 15km Classic race at the SMC Carnival … Furthermore, Petter played a crucial role as the second skier in the UVM Men's relay team, which clinched the top spot at the Harvard Carnival.
 
BEFORE VERMONT: 7th Place in Norwegian Junior Cup ... 8th in Norwegian Junior National Sprint ... Bronze Medal in Junior National Relay.

PERSONAL: Majoring in Business ... Chose UVM because of the exceptional training conditions Vermont offers, and also the good atmosphere within the team.
