SHE ROARS is an initiative to foster gender equity in the world of sports. She Roars aims to raise awareness about the stories, accomplishments, and power of women athletes as well as the long term inequities facing women in sport.
With the support of our community, alumni, and fans, She Roars strives to empower all women to stand up for themselves and others, and champions the recognition and celebration of all women leaders in sport, on and off the field.
She Roars is dedicated to breaking down barriers. This campaign aims to empower all women, transwomen, femme, and non-binary folks in sport and in our community. She Roars welcomes diversity and promotes belonging across the intersections of race, sexual orientation, gender identity, and religion.
She Roars aims to spark a local and societal shift, through the emphasis of equity and empowerment of Women in Sports. She Roars recognizes and celebrates the incredible student-athletes, coaches, and staff of Catamount Country. The UVM and Vermont community provides the perfect environment to begin working towards societal change on this issue, and we are eager for all aspects of the community to join this effort.
